Solar Systems

Make the most of solar energy

A solar thermal system is a system solution that converts the solar energy that reaches the earth's surface, in free hot water to be stored in a thermal storage and then to be used according to specific needs.

THE NATURAL CIRCULATION

The simplest way to realize a solar thermal system is to install a tank of domestic hot water directly on the roof in direct contact with the solar collector which acts as a transformer of energy. In this way you get compact systems and easy operation that can easily be installed on all kind of buildings that need small quantities of water, especially in the residential field. Natural circulation means the natural convective movement or path of the heating fluid which in some cases could be the same sanitary water but which is usually a type of antifreeze heat transfer fluid.

THE FORCED CIRCULATION

Solar systems of highest performance and intended to be used not only for sanitary water but also for space heating and large scale systems are all composed by a separate installation of thermal storages that are separate from the solar collectors. A pump is required to allow the flow of the hot fluid from the solar collectors and the storage tanks: here comes the term "forced circulation".
Solar thermal forced circulation allows greater control of the water temperature.
